Antique Spectacles / Eyeglasses. Made by American Optical, marked AO 1/10 12 kt. gf on each arm.
Marked AO FULVUE 1/10 12KGF on the inside of the bridge
This  pair has curved temples, also referred to as riding glasses, because the curve loops around the ears to keep the glasses on.
Good Antique condition. Great to add to an antique collection.
Measurements are: The front from hinge to hinge 4", each lens is 1 1/4" tall and 1 1/2" wide. The temples are 3 1/2" long.
Ful Vue Glasses were invented by American Optical. The story goes that when automobiles started becoming popular in the early 1900’s there arose a new need the hadn’t been around before: the need to be able to have clear vision when looking to the sides while driving. With oval or vintage round glasses frames the temples generally met the frames midway of the lenses. When looking out of the side of the lenses this directly blocked ones line of vision.
