  • Condition: Goggles are in great condition, rubber shows no sign of rot, light yellowing where the head band touches metal, some of the headbands are white and some are black. Some boxes are pristine structurally with some soiling from being stored in a factory for decades. Unsure if the gas is still present on the goggles at this point selling for collecting purposes, movie or photo prop, costume, etc.

    NOS 1920's Antique Cover's Rubber Goggles Gas Tight

    Outer Box Reads:
    "Gets rid of fog without removing the goggles from the face. Protects against anything."
    "For the use of Firemen, Chemical workers, Lime Handlers, and those working in very bad dust, fumes and gases that injuriously affect the eyes."
    Inner box lid reads:
    Directions for Using Cover's New Gas Tight Rubber Goggles
    Put water in the chambers and turn the goggles so any surplus runs out. What remains will be just right. Clear the glasses of moisture by "nodding and shaking the head." The natural movement of the body will often be sufficient if the wearer is actively moving about. Keep the glasses CLEAN.
