This beauty is from the famous
"Sin"
line of mannequins that's featured on Vaudeville Mannequins website.  Modeled after the legendary "Vargas" pin-up girls of Esquire magazine, these mannequins were first created for
Frederick's of Hollywood
in the 1970's.
They're still gorgeous today....

This auction is for one "Sin 6", the seated pose shown.  We've also included photos of other poses available from the line.  Wigs and shipping are additional.
Decter has been making mannequins for decades-and our process hasn't changed very much.
Like all Vaudeville/Decter mannequins, it's of the highest quality.  Made of heavy fiberglass and resin, literally by hand.  The casting of each piece, the hand sanding, the primer, more hand sanding, the two topcoats plus another overcoat-all done by hand.  The beautiful paintwork on each face in a combination of airbrushing, acrylics, and oils, all done by hand.  You can see individual "hairs" in each eyebrow.
Each mannequin is made to order in our factory in Los Angeles.
As a matter of fact, every single thing that Vaudeville makes is made right here in the USA-we're very proud of that.  (The only exception is our mannequin wigs.  The wigs themselves are made outside of the country, but all styling is done here).
Shoe size is 7 to 7 1/2.  Dress size varies, depending on the garment.  A bias cut or stretch gown should be around a size 6 to be form-fitting.  Any skirt used on this mannequin must either be full, or have a very high slit, due to the leg position.

extremely
well to eliminate damage during shipping.  This means that our boxes are rather large, and right now, shipping charges are incredibly high.
